Dunes Club Wedding Done Right

Ellie and Tim did it right when it comes to photography for their elegant dunes club wedding! This amazing couple wanted to hold their ceremony in a space very special to them. They chose the chapel at Brown University in Providence, which lead to some challenges. Their reception was taking place nearly an hour away at The Dunes Club in Narragansett. So, we planned their day that they would get ready at the Dunes Club so myself and Jaime my second shooter could leave our cars there and travel with them on their buses to Providence. This allowed us to be relaxed about finding parking and possibly missing any moments that would happen en route. Ellie and Tim decided to do a first look on the grounds at the Dunes Club, followed by their bridal party photos near the Cabanas, and their family photos on the lawn.

Having completed all their formal photos, they were able to travel together to Providence without worrying about accidentally seeing each other in the morning. They also got to enjoy the ride to church together.  The church had stunning natural light which made for beautiful ceremony photos.  We then headed back to Narragansett and snapped a few more extended family and friend pics, and then document their gorgeous day complete with a perfect full moon.

pastel aqua and pink elegance

Stoneblossom really outdid themselves in the beautiful Dunes Club ballroom. The room here is an odd size and is very long and flanked by huge windows. The use of tall and short centerpieces to complete the tablescapes lead the eye all around the room, showcasing the expanse of the view out to the ocean. The girls in their aqua dresses held lush bouquets that complemented the centerpieces and reception decor. The littlest flower girl held a little lightship basket complete with her name and all. The pastel tones used felt natural amongst the hunter green accents of the Dunes Club ballroom, and lead to a light and elegant experience. I loved that they kept the green plates from the club, it made the tablescape feel unique and unlike any others that I’ve seen.
