Michele and Andrew held their wedding at Cove Cabin at Mount Hope Farm which happens to be in my top 5 list of favorite RI wedding venues. Not only do you get the MOST adorable cabin to take pictures, enjoy cocktail hour, and enjoy, but you also get one of the most gorgeous waterfront settings in the state, with ceremony options in a grove of trees.

Why a Mount Hope Farm Wedding?

From Michele, “The RI shore has a special place in our hearts, as it is where our romance began and is where the groom’s family has lived for the past decade. The bride wished to have a wedding in a tent under lights. Once we realized we wanted to have a tent wedding in Rhode Island, a wedding on the water at Mount Hope Farm became the only option for us.”

Mount Hope Farm in Bristol offers some of the most varied and stunning backdrops for photos of any wedding venue in Rhode Island. Cove Cabin weddings also get the advantage of a tent whereas the barn space on site is a bit darker, the tent allows for natural light to bounce around while guests dine with views of the bay and easy access to the Cabin itself. There is a little beach with amazing pink shells, walking paths with reeds and trees, a short drive to a pond full of wild daisies, and of course the waterfront itself, view of Mount Hope Bridge, and the adorable Cabin. The Cabin also can serve as a space for intimate weddings without the use of the tent. The light here is also REALLY special any time of year.

From a Photo Perspective:

Michele and Andrew’s wedding ceremony took place in the grove and then guests meandered over to the cabin for cocktails. They actually rented the houses on the property to get ready in, so we got even more backdrops on site. We were able to use the amazing flower garden which emphasized the wildflowers used throughout the decor. We also got to utilize the spots around the Bradford House which include the adorable potting shed, the ivy gate, the dollhouse, and the stone walls. And of course my favorite, that giant tree!

I personally think renting the houses on site to get ready in with friends and family is the BEST option for Mount Hope Farm weddings. Doing so allows us to utilize all these amazing spots for photos since there is typically a time restriction on when you can be on site at the Cove. This lets us do your first look and all your family photos before heading down. We then have time to have fun and explore when we get down to the Cove before your guests start arriving for the ceremony. It’s the best!
