Danielle and Patrick’s gorgeous springtime Castle Hill Inn wedding was chosen by the editors at The Knot magazines (I was speechless when their weddings editor Rebecca Crumley emailed me directly requesting this wedding in particular!!!) to represent Rhode Island in their 50 weddings in 50 states feature. Danielle and her mom made the gorgeous mismatched napkins and included a favorite element, Ginger Jars, into the decor. Sayles Livingston brought the outside inside with towering flowering branches paired with small and contemporary individual flower vases blending all the colors of the day to match the bridesmaids dresses in shades of blue (and color of 2016 Serenity). Danielle and Patrick also blended their religions in this fusion ceremony, I just loved hearing all about the traditions and meaning behind the Jewish customs they chose to include. I think this wedding shows that everything doesn’t have to be cookie cutter. You can have an off season wedding (it was early spring and pretty chilly still) at a magical location, let a palette dictate your design instead of just choosing 1 or 2 colors, and let pattern play an integral part of bringing that palette together.
