Curated Elopement in the Catskills
I was so lucky to be able to capture this curated elopement shoot in the Catskills at the Loom series. This couple exuded calm intimacy throughout their wedding lunch, flanked by dances and tableside snuggles. I think this really showcases how gorgeous and intimate a restaurant elopement can be. At Table on 10 in the Catskills, the couple had the entire upstairs restaurant to themselves. Light linens, a branch of early spring buds, and a stunning meal complete with wine was all the table needed to feel special. I love it when I am able to document such a small micro wedding. I can just be a fly on the wall, capturing the little intimate moments that dot the day. It doesn’t need to be an all-day booking, but having me there for all the special formalities as they unfold is key. I always suggest a minimum of 2 hours for an elopement booking. See more from Loom soon!
Traveling for out of state Elopements
I love to travel for weddings of all sizes, but commuting out of state for an elopement is the sweetest ask. I typically will arrive a day before your vows to familiarize myself with the location and backdrops for photos. If you are eloping at a restaurant like the couple pictured, it’s always nice if I can introduce myself to the Chef or Manager beforehand to get a sense of the light in the space, and possibly even photograph one or two of the dishes if I won’t be present for service on the actual day of your wedding. I’m thrilled that curated elopements have become so popular during this time when we are all focusing on what really matters about a wedding. I’m here to see the in-between moments as they unfurl. The way your hands meet at the table, the little smile during your spin, I’d travel anywhere to capture it!
I have traveled to the US Virgin Islands, Charleston South Carolina, All over New England for micro weddings and elopements! I’d be honored to jump in the car or board a plane to document your day too!
