Sydney and Brian’s wedding at the Eisenhower House at Fort Adams goes down in the books as one of my all-time favorite events. First of all, can we talk about gorgeous? Sydney could be a model in any magazine! Surrounded by her gorgeous sisters, mother, and maids, this bridal party was absolutely stunning. Second, that dress! I about passed out when she showed it to me. Ladies, this is the way to go. I love how she chose a simple, yet intricately designed, and airy dress for her outdoor summer wedding. Dress for the occasion! You want to be comfortable. She knew it would be warm, outside, in a tent, on the lawn, and choosing a backless, crepe dress was the most perfect choice! But then she chose a beautiful overlay jacket to totally transform the look for the ceremony. Adding a bit of sleeve for the mansion ceremony added a regal effect, and kept for a beautiful reveal following the ceremony when she had her spaghetti strap gown shown. Another part I loved, that headpiece! A stunning Twigs and Honey Juliette veil paired with that beautiful jeweled crown, Sydney was a bohemian beauty. I LOVE how much time they allowed for photos. Doing a first look, bridal party, and family photos on the grounds of Ochre Court, where their ceremony was, added a very Newport feel to the day. Ochre court is such a stately and ornate mansion, yet they are pared down attire in windswept bridesmaids gowns and the guys in blue navy suits made if feel welcoming and breezy. After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed dels on the grounds of Ochre Court while we hurried over to the Eisenhower House to capture a few more photos with the bridal party and family at the house and then down by the water. As soon as we were done, the guests arrived, allowing Sydney and brian the entire cocktail hour to enjoy their friends and delicious bites from Blackstone. Guests were then welcomed into the tent, perfectly styled by Sydney. She and her mom had gone antique hunting for all the beautiful blue and white plates used for bread and dessert, and also she and Brian planted all the herbs together and grew them in their home. Weedweavers made huge wreaths hung from the ceiling and paired with farm tables, garlands, and glowing lights, this wedding was the perfect day for these two high school sweethearts.
