Sachuest Point in Middletown, RI (right past second beach in Newport) is one of my favorite spots for engagement sessions. The light is seriously magical. When you are in the parking lot and looking down towards Second Beach, the winding road looks like something straight out of Southern California. When I moved back here from San Diego, I really missed those winding ocean-side drives and this is the first place I found that reminded me of driving the PCH as it winds down the coast. Nicole and Kevin are just so cool, and they just have such a calm sweetness with each other, I loved how it came through in our imagery. After we walked through Sachuest, we went over to Third Beach because it started to get really windy, and it’s usually calm and flat over there. Football and sports are a big part of their lives, so they brought along a ball and tossed it around playfully in the sand during a our sunset shots. I absolutely can’t wait for their wedding at the Newport Yachting Center this summer! The yachting center is being redone and I can’t wait to see their new sail cloth tent being created by Sperry. It’s sure to add more to the nautical ambiance already present there, for a more seamless, elegant look and I’m so excited to capture it for Nicole and Kevin’s wedding day!
