If you are having a wedding in a premiere gorgeous location, please have it during daylight! Allison and Mark chose to have a daytime wedding at the Spring House, and besides eating their meal inside, guests got to be outdoors the entire time soaking in the gorgeous view! When you have a view like this, you don’t want to schedule your events so that your guests only get to see this for 1 hour before it’s pitch black outside, you want them to enjoy it for as long as possible.  Bonus: Daytime weddings are often a little less expensive! You can serve really cute brunch food! You can plan an after party event like a sailboat ride, an evening at a local pub, a beach bonfire, a sunset hike, anything you want for those that don’t want the party to end!  So many great things come with a daytime wedding.  2) Mark MADE that arbor! He actually created it with his own hands. That amazing little cutout of Block Island, the beautiful wood trelllis. Talk about a wedding gift that you’ll be able to have in your home forever! So so beautiful! And he made it to come apart into easy to carry pieces so they could bring it over on the Ferry and set it up! 3) Another thing that made this wedding special was this couple’s style. Allison chose probably the perfect Block Island dress. It was flowy, easy to move in, not too hot (for a very hot September day), light and airy material, and had a little bit of a boho vibe that matched her cute flower crown and wildflower bouquet to a T! I loved how the guys also wore light tan suits, again keeping it summery and fresh.  I can’t wait to get back on the Ferry for more BI weddings this year! Hope to see you there.
